Currently we have programs on location at: • Perquimans Central Elementary School • Hertford Grammar School By Faith Habbakkuk sees a time of suffering coming to his nation and people. His prayer to God is, “you’re not hearing my prayer” (Hab. 1:1-4) The Lord answers, 4 ! hear your prayer and I have an response.” I am judging the sin of the nation with a severe response. I am raising up the Chaldeans, (v-6) They will be, to the nation, an evil oppressive judge. Because your nation has set aside the law of God, you are not guided by the Word of God, the Chaldeans will come and destroy the nation. Your nation has become weak and not able to defend itself, you are overcome with debt, and yet you will not call upon me (God) for help. The prophet is encouraged. When the time of judgment comes, the Lord tells, “ the just shall live by faith.” (Hab. 2:4) There has not been a time when God did not preserve a remnant. The flood of Noah’s time is an example of a remnant in a time of judgment. Those who will trust and obey the Lord Jesus Christ will be preserved “by faith”.
